About Me

About Kacey

Born and raised in Ormond Beach, Florida, Kacey knew from a young age that she wanted to be a writer. Today, she's a results-driven communicator with a passion for storytelling, content creation, employee engagement and communications strategy.

Kacey is currently a communications specialist at Brinker International, home of Chili’s Grill & Bar and Maggiano’s Little Italy, where she is focused on driving employee engagement and awareness through internal communications. Throughout her time at Brinker, she's spearheaded an internal newsletter rebrand, elevated the use of employee communications channels, developed and executed several communications plans for projects and meetings, and led the company's diversity and wellbeing communications.

Over the course of her college career at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), Kacey developed a niche for health communications, having interned at the UF Health Cancer Center, UF Health News and Hollings Cancer Center. She continued her health communications career at the UF Health Cancer Center, connecting with doctors and patients to raise awareness for cancer research, treatments and experiences through blog posts, press releases and feature stories.

During the pandemic, Kacey set out on a new venture while stuck at home – helping small businesses with their communications efforts through her freelance business, Finch Communications.

After relocating to Dallas, Texas, Kacey transitioned into a remote role at Kepro (now Acentra), a company focused on improving the healthcare experience for priority population. She helped significantly grow the company LinkedIn page, manage company and client websites, write press releases and blogs posts, assist with a company acquisition and more.
