Company Newsletter

In 2023, I led the rebrand of Brinker's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) newsletter. When I joined Brinker, our newsletter (Brinekr 5) was biweekly, had to include five articles and wasn't very engaging.

I began the rebrand process by putting together my recommendations, wins, watch outs and a project process.  From there, I conduct roundtables with dozens of Team Members, varying in age, gender, tenure and department, to gather feedback on our internal communications as a whole and to discover what our target audience was looking for in a newsletter. I then surveyed the entire RSC audience based on the feedback we received in the roundtables. Once all feedback was gathered, I developed a rebrand proposal with a new name, cadence, logo and newsletter mockup to present to our Chief People Officer.

 

We launched the new weekly newsletter, Brinker Bites, in our quarterly Town Hall and received an incredible amount of positive feedback from our audience! We have seen a significant increase in engagement, not just with the newsletter but with all of our internal communications efforts.

Internal Marketing Campaigns

To build Team Member excitement for upcoming Chili's marketing initiatives, I launched internal marketing campaign emails. Leading up to campaign launches, I work closely with my marketing counterparts to gather assets and information to give our Team Members the first look at our exciting campaigns. These have quickly become a favorite project of mine, and Team Members love them! I've worked on campaign emails for:

  • It All Starts with a Marg (feat. Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey)

  • Chili's Baby Back Ribs Jingle Remix (feat. Boyz II Men)

  • 'Wing Worn' Chili's Jerseys (feat. Tony Pollard)

  • Chili's Catch-A-Rita at the Daytona 500 (feat. Corey LaJoie)

Live Meetings

Quarterly Virtual Town Halls

  • Align with leadership on agenda, including business updates, Team Member recognition, department updates and fun engagement elements

  • Work cross-functionally with leadership, graphic designers, production, assistants and more to gather and produce content, finalize logistics and execute agenda 

  • Manage the creative briefs and production of pre-recorded videos 

  • Monitor pre-submitted questions and live Q&A

  • Write and distribute recap

Quarterly Earnings Call Debriefs

  • Align with leadership on agenda, including overview of quarter results, projects impacting results, where we're winning and where we need to make progress, and how we're comparing to the industry

  • Work cross-functionally with leadership, graphic designers, production, assistants and more to gather and produce content, finalize logistics and execute agenda 

  • Monitor pre-submitted questions and live Q&A

  • Write and distribute recap

  • Ensure a quarter-over-quarter flow that aligns with ongoing initiatives and focuses on leadership development
